Have you ever WWOOF-ed?

WWOOF is a work exchange program that connects volunteers to organic farms and you live and work on the farm in exchange for room and board. I’m seriously considering doing it this summer, and I want to learn more.
Has anyone done it before? What were your experiences? Would you recommend it?
